About the Award

Healthcare Excellence Awards 2023, Ghana is a proud initiative of the Africa Medical Relief Foundation, and it seeks to recognize, empower, and celebrate the healthcare workforce of Ghana. In setting up this initiative, we were inspired by the growing centrality of healthcare towards Ghana’s ambition for sustainable development and the welfare of the Ghanaian citizenry, as well as the challenges to healthcare that were laid bare by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Our goal is to use the initiative to reward excellent professionalism and inspire organizational impact in the broader Ghanaian society. Through this initiative, we envisage a continued promotion of healthcare excellence, while enjoining all stakeholders into mutually supportive dialogue and meaningful engagements about how to maintain satisfaction among all tiers of the workforce in the health sector.

AMRF- Africa since its inception has through its mission and vision provided free medical screenings to over 8000 people in impoverished areas in Ghana. We have also provided tons of relief items most especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have conducted free surgeries, and donated medical equipment and supplies to some health centers and major hospitals.

Throughout our projects and community assistance, we have recognized the immense contribution of the Ghanaian Health worker as well as the industry supporting them even with the limited resources at hand. The board and the advisory executive decided the way forward in building a sustainable healthcare system is to recognize and appreciate where we are and empower the industry to do more. For this reason, the Healthcare Excellence Awards Ghana is intended to recognize and empower the continued efforts of healthcare providers, products, and professionals across the industry.

Recipients of the Excellence Award represent the very best of what we stand for and support in healthcare excellence. We aim to exemplify best practices in the field and demonstrate how excellence is integral to building a stronger industry, and the enhancement of effective patient care. The Healthcare Excellence Awards celebrate those who work so hard to promote excellence in the industry.

      Summary

Typically regarded as a slow-moving sector, healthcare is primed for a disruptive shake-up. These changes are pushing the boundaries of traditional healthcare, requiring innovations that apply and extend extant knowledge in real-time biofeedback to provide a truly holistic of an individual body, mind, and soul. In this vein, we must stride as a country to achieve excellence.

In such a varied and vital sector, we are here to spotlight the diverse range of companies that continually demonstrate the highest standards of patient care, and who seek to promote intelligent, forward-thinking innovation and a commitment to being the best at what they do. This award works on the bases of merit and quality, not upon the number of votes or size of your institution. To ensure a level playing field, we will reward based on an excellent reputation, commitment, innovation, determination, and contribution to patient safety.
