Mama Theresah

Jacobu Outreach

I woke in the morning very tired this morning. I heard that there are some people here in our Town to do health screening. I know I have been battling with blood pressure and diabetes, but I am a widow cannot afford the care and the drugs. So I went to the screening place and they checked my blood sugar and it was very high, my pressure was also high. They gave me some drugs and now I am doing very well for the past one month. I thank AMRF organization

We are grateful for the books and the musical instruments presented to our school. Over the past few months we have been struggling with school attendance in this town. Some parents cannot afford to buy exercise books and we have donated these books to those who cannot afford. Also, the pupils have been well engaged because of the school instruments. These gestures will go a long way to help these children

I want to personally thank the leaders of AMRF Foundation. They accepted our invitation to help our village. Our people are mostly farmers and fishermen and they have different health problems but has no money to afford good care. Before you came some of them had no clue what was happening to them and the blamed it on witches and idols. But those pills and education they received have really improved our state of mind and they are now managing

The people here always blame their sickness to bad omens. They are killed by simple and manageable diseases. Your presence has brought some clarity. And your free drugs have enabled most of them to manage their diseases. We want to thank your leaders and donors who are helping this cause

I had stomach pains for three (3) days. But I could not afford to go to the hospital, so I came to the health screening. After an hour in the line waiting to be seen, I had extreme pains, nausea and the pain was unbearable. The doctors and the nurses quickly attended to me. I received a first aid treatment and the pain went away. They gave me more medications and advised me to see the doctor the following day. If I had not met them the story had been different. I paid nothing and the care and the drugs I received was free of charge

I would have been dead if I had not tested my blood sugar with them. I woke up with sweat all over, I was dizzy, but I managed to come to the venue of the screening which was close to my house and my blood sugar was 30mg/dl. They instantly gave me glucose and they monitored my sugar again until I regained full recovery. They also gave me blood sugar machine to monitor my sugar. Everything was free of charge

Alimatu

Damongo, Ghana Hygiene & Caring Campaign

Here in the Northern Part of Ghana life is hard for us especially we the young Adults. Every month money to buy food is difficult to come by. We are mostly peasant farmers and money for menstrual pads is not there. So, we use unhygienic means, and this is causing a lot of urine tract infections and rashes. Last month, AMRF presented several boxes of female menstrual pads and they also taught us how to keep ourselves hygienic even with local items we can found around without buying. This gesture has helped us a lot
